The 2019 Community Portrait is a population study commissioned by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia to help The Jewish Federation to most effectively evaluate and support the needs of the local Jewish community. The team working on The Community Portrait needed a logo and suite of promotional materials that had a distinct look but still fell within the brand and style guidelines of The Jewish Federation. Since the branding for the Federation is very geometric in nature, and The Community Portrait dealt with the specific location of Greater Philadelphia, I decided to go with a map pin that utilized the secondary color palette of the Federation. Additionally, I came up with a clean, simple look for the overall Community Portrait branding, and incorporated illustrated elements to help make some of the advertising pieces more eye-catching.
